1. Get some TLC
a. Stressed out all the time? When was the last time you had a minute, an hour, or
even a full day to yourself? Get some TLC and take some time off to practice some self-care. Our bodies can get physically and mentally exhausted time to time, especially when we’re piled with other responsibilities such as school, work, family, and relationships. Take some time out of each week so enjoy leisure, hobbies you enjoy, or even practice breathing and meditating. Clearing your mind and restarting your body will keep you re-energized for the next week!
2. Be Positive!
a. Being Positive is ESSENTIAL to having confidence. Maintaining a hungry and
motivating mindset can increase your self-efficacy levels and make you think YOU CAN. So take a step back and evaluate the cause of your problems, regain a new sense of thinking, and create a positive spin on the situation.
3. Challenge your Inner Critic
The biggest thing that stops us from achieving our life goals and accomplishments are--you guessed it, yourself! We have this little voice in our head that always repeats negative thoughts and feelings that can hinder us from taking the biggest steps. Be aware of those thoughts and give yourself a little more credit, it’s not the end of the world if one bad thing happens today. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s those that take away from it and learn to be better next time. Make those negative thoughts into positive affirmations and the way you’ll feel about yourself will skyrocket into something amazing!
Example: “I can never do anything right. I’m such a failure, I shouldn’t even try.”
Replace this with: “Okay, there are some things I can’t do, but there are some things I can do. Those things I can’t do, I know I can get better at them.”
